Skin concern · Laxity

Sagging skin and laxity.

That softening along the jaw, the loosening at the neck, the cheeks that sit a little lower than they did — it has a cause, and it has solutions that don’t involve surgery or needles.

Why skin starts to sag

Skin is held firm by a deep network of collagen and elastin — the scaffolding that keeps it taut and lets it spring back. From the mid-twenties onward the body makes less of it each year, and by the forties and fifties the loss becomes visible. The scaffolding loosens, the deeper support layer slackens, and gravity does the rest. It’s biology, not neglect — and it happens to everyone.

The frustrating part is that creams can’t reach where it matters. Loss of firmness happens well below the surface, in layers a topical product simply can’t affect. To change firmness, you have to reach the layer where firmness is built.

Where it tends to show first

  • The jawline — a softening of what used to be a clean, defined edge, and the early appearance of jowls.
  • The neck — looser skin under the chin and down the front of the neck.
  • The cheeks and midface — a sense that everything sits slightly lower than it once did.
  • The brow — a heaviness or drop above the eyes.

How we treat it

Lifting and firming, without surgery.

Both treatments work by prompting your own skin to rebuild collagen — the difference is the depth they reach and what they’re best suited to.

An honest word on what’s achievable

These treatments lift and firm skin with mild to moderate laxity — and where they suit you, the change is gradual and natural, unmistakably your own face just looking fresher. If skin is very loose, they may not be the right tool, and Anne will tell you that plainly at consultation rather than promise a result she can’t deliver. That honesty is the point of starting with a conversation.
